Sunshine Arts began in 1996 with just $20 and a borrowed mat cutter. Founder Jim Franklin, driven by his passion for art and the local artistic community, started by offering custom framing and matting services from his Waikiki apartment. Word quickly spread, and soon the gallery was filled with captivating artwork from talented Hawaiian artists.
