Since our inception in 1978, our goal has been to sell name brand furniture at deeply reduced prices. We were among the first discounters in Florida to offer this unique service. Over the years, we've expanded our offerings to include a wide variety of wood flooring and carpet, making us one of the leading players in the Gainesville area.

Our History

Founded by brothers Vince and Scoot Gallagher, Planned Furnishings started in a small office at 107 N Main Street, Gainesville. As the business grew, so did our space, eventually moving into our current building at 527 W University Avenue. In 1985, Vince left the business to pursue a career in law, and since then, Scoot's son Evan has been instrumental in expanding our wood flooring sales, further solidifying our position in the market.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services, including the sale of name brand furniture and flooring at discounted prices. Our furniture selection includes medium to high-end manufacturers such as Rowe, Robin Bruce, Sam Moore, Fairfield, and Norwalk for upholstery, and American Drew, Hooker, Stanley, Kincaid, and Hammary for case goods. We also provide installation services within a 45-mile radius for all our products.
