Our Company Story

At Athena Construction Group, we are more than just a woman-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone contractor. We are a group of experienced professionals who accept no substitutions and refuse to cut corners. Our story began when Melissa Schneider, a veteran and experienced project manager, founded Athena Remodelers, applying the leadership and project management skills she had honed as an officer in the Marine Corps. With a strong reputation for quality and meticulousness, Athena quickly transformed into Athena Construction Group, the nation's premiere SDVOSB, SWaM, HUBZone construction company.

Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is comprised of dedicated professionals with impressive backgrounds and expertise. Amber Peebles, our President, is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who oversees all aspects of company affairs and operations, while creating and implementing company and division growth plans. Melissa Schneider, our Vice-President, founded Athena after serving as the Wide Area Network Operations Manager for Booz Allen, where she was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's frame-relay wide area network.
