The MHA Department of Transportation (MHA DOT) is dedicated to the safety and well-being of the people and businesses operating within the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation. • Licensing and Permitting: We issue DOT Impact Fee licenses (MHA DOT stickers) to all individuals, companies, or entities conducting business on the Reservation. This includes a variety of single trip permits (overweight/oversized), specialized permits for single special trips, and rig move permits. We also process applications for temporary rental permits and ensure the timely and accurate processing of all applications.

• Motor Carrier Enforcement: Our dedicated Motor Carrier Enforcement Division plays a vital role in upholding the safety of our roads. We diligently monitor and enforce compliance with all MHA DOT policies and regulations for businesses licensed by the department. This includes ensuring adherence to MHA Nation resolutions that mandate specific operational practices for licensed companies.
