Our Story
Our journey began with our founder, Darrail Abercrombie, who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. With a passion for animation, Darrail started his journey in the barbering industry at the tender age of 15. Over the years, he honed his skills by competing in various hair shows and competitions, and even helped out in community programs to benefit the local youth. As a loving father, Darrail used his trade and business to promote education in the community. After mastering his craft for over 15 years, it was time to expand his business and brand. And so, Edge It Up Hair Studio was born in November 2016, with the vision of creating a positive, family-friendly environment that excels in all hair styles.
Our Team
Our team of expert barbers, including Darrail, Esai Paloma, and Lisandro, are dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that every client leaves our studio feeling confident and satisfied. Esai, who was inspired by Darrail to master his craft, has a passion for barbering and a commitment to continuous improvement. Lisandro, whose bio is coming soon, brings his unique perspective and skills to our team. Each of our barbers is dedicated to providing personalized service, building relationships with their clients, and giving them the confidence they deserve.
