Our Story

Founded in the early 1930s as a small family-owned real estate business, Milbrook Properties has evolved into a formidable commercial and residential real estate organization. Our business philosophy is rooted in a set of core principles that have guided our success for five generations. Led by a team of seasoned professionals, we operate over 75 properties throughout New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of experienced real estate professionals who work hands-on to optimize the performance of each of our assets. Our leadership team includes:

• Rubin Pikus, CEO: With over 45 years of experience in the real estate industry, Rubin has been involved in the New York, New Jersey, and Florida real estate markets. He is the third generation to run the business, having taken over from his father-in-law in 1967.
• Charles Hirsch, President: With over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, Charles has expanded the portfolio into the commercial retail and office markets. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1991.
• Jeff Katz, VP of Field Operations: With over 20 years of experience, Jeff has been leading the maintenance and field operations in Milbrook for over two decades.
• Sharon Pikus, COO: With a lifelong involvement in the business, Sharon has played a crucial role in the growth and development of Milbrook. She and her husband, Rubin, expanded the multi-family portfolio throughout the five boroughs.
• Andrea Hirsch, VP of Finance & Secretary: With over 27 years of experience, Andrea oversees all aspects of the financial duties within Milbrook.
• Thomas (TJ) LiPuma, VP of Asset Management: With over 17 years of experience, Tom has focused on acquisitions, financing, leasing, and portfolio analysis.
