Stone Hill Winery is a renowned vineyard with a rich history dating back to 1847 when it was established by German immigrants. Our vineyards are located in the heart of Missouri, a region known for its fertile soil and ideal climate for growing a variety of grapes. We take great pride in our dries and sweets, which have earned us a reputation as one of the best wineries in Missouri. Our vineyards are a testament to our dedication to innovation and quality, as we grow American and hybrid grape varietals that are uniquely adapted to the Missouri climate, allowing us to create truly special wines that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Our Story

Stone Hill Winery's story is one of resilience and determination. After Prohibition forced the winery to shut down, it lay dormant for 45 years. However, in 1965, Jim and Betty Held, two small farmers with less than $1200 in their bank account, decided to take a chance and restore the winery. Their hard work paid off, and today, Stone Hill Winery continues to set the bar for quality in the wine industry. Our team is dedicated to preserving the winery's rich history while also looking towards the future, constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve our products.
