Our Mission

At Johnson Gymnastics, we strive to create a fun, positive, and challenging environment for all our students. We aim to help our students develop confidence, character, and a strong work ethic, encouraging them to believe in their ability to achieve anything through determination and hard work. Our mission is to foster a love for the sport of gymnastics, promote teamwork, and help our students grow both physically and mentally.

Our Team

Our team at Johnson Gymnastics is comprised of caring, dedicated, and passionate coaches who have extensive experience in gymnastics. Many of our coaches have been gymnasts their entire lives, making them the perfect mentors for our students. They understand the importance of proper techniques, safety, and encouragement, which they instill in every class.

Our Gymnastics Facility

Our state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in Valley View, Ohio, making it easily accessible from anywhere in Northeast Ohio. With over 8,000 square feet of space for physical activity, we offer a safe and clean environment for our students to learn and grow. Our facility is equipped with a variety of equipment, including two vaults and runways, three sets of uneven bars, single rail and preschool uneven bars, five high beams, three medium beams, floor beams, a laser beam, and a 4040 floor exercise tumble track.

Our History

Johnson Gymnastics was founded in 1963 by Margaret Johnson, who started a dance studio in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The studio initially offered classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Acro for ages pre-school through adult. In 1974, Margaret added gymnastics to the curriculum, transforming the studio into Johnson Dance & Gymnastics. In 1989, we moved to our current location in Valley View, allowing us to expand our offerings and provide more opportunities for the community. While we have said goodbye to our dance program, we continue to focus on providing top-quality gymnastics instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.

Johnson Gymnastics offers a wide range of classes and programs designed to meet the needs of students at all different levels of gymnastics. From preschool gymnastics to NEOGL competitive teams, we have something for everyone. Our classes include:

Each class is designed to provide a fun and motivating environment where students can learn new skills, build confidence, and develop a love for the sport of gymnastics.
