Experience the Art of Winegrowing
At Martinelli Winery, we're proud to be one of the last bastions of family winegrowing in Sonoma County. Spanning across five generations and more than 135 years, we've farmed our estate vineyards with a relentless pursuit of quality and total dedication to our craft. These ideals are shared across our team - from the vineyard to the cellar to the tasting room - and are instilled in everything we do.
Our Story
The Martinelli Family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Russian River Valley since the late 1880s. As 5th generation stewards of some of the finest vineyards in the region, we're proud to continue this legacy of hands-on farming, bringing decades of experience to everything we do. Our family has been growing grapes and making wines ever since.
Vineyards
It all started on Jackass Hill. Folks said, "you'd have to be a jackass to farm a hill that steep." But young Tuscan-born immigrant Giuseppe Martinelli looked at that 65-degree slope of land, rolled up his sleeves, and planted a vineyard anyway. Our family has been growing grapes and making wines ever since. We invite you to explore our vineyards and experience the beauty of our estate-grown wines.
Wines
Martinelli wines are born in the vineyard. And, with 450 acres of 100% sustainably-farmed estate vineyards, we can afford to be selective. Our small-production vineyard designated wines showcase our family's favorite blocks, capturing the terroir of each site while highlighting the nuance of the vintage. We offer a sample selection of our wines on our online store, and invite you to join one of our member lists to ensure an allocation as they become available.
Acquire
Though the majority of our wines are highly allocated upon release, we make every effort to offer a sample selection on our online store. If you are interested in accessing our complete collection, we invite you to join one of our member lists to ensure an allocation as they become available.
Visit
Join us for a tasting at our historic turn-of-the-century hop barn in the scenic Russian River Valley. You'll find a variety of tasting opportunities, from casual walk-in tastings of estate-grown wines to in-depth seated wine & food pairing experiences. Whatever you choose, we look forward to hosting you.
Join
Our estate-grown wines are handcrafted in very limited quantities and rarely find their way into wine shops. The only way to ensure access to the complete collection is through our Members List or Concierge List. One offers an allocation, the other a curated selection. The choice is yours.
Events
Join us for one of our upcoming events, from our Annual Member Open House to our Fort Ross - Seaview Pinot Noir Release, and celebrate the beginning of our Harvest Season with our Martinelli Family Harvest Dinner. We look forward to seeing you soon.
