Solano Life House has been serving Solano County, CA from Dixon, my hometown just west of Sacramento, since 1985. I am Mary Felix, the Administrator of Solano Life House, and I have been passionate about senior care for eighteen years. I have been responsible for distinguishing Solano Life House as an award-winning Memory Care facility by thinking and acting differently since 2015. We are not just a senior care home; we are a family-oriented community that cares for the whole family. Our families actively participate in our residents' lives and our community like extended family.

Our Mission

When searching for senior care, you have two overriding concerns: care and cost. At Solano Life House, we have addressed these concerns with our mission to provide attentive care and transparent costs. Our caregivers and med-techs receive mandatory training twice monthly as part of an ongoing training program to ensure that our staff is ever-evolving in its competence in care, safety, and professionalism. We maintain one of the highest staff-to-resident ratios in the industry to ensure attentive care. We are a thirty-eight bed home, which we believe is perfectly sized - more intimate than life at impersonal corporate facilities, yet larger than a board and care home so that we have an activities team dedicated to adding joy to our residents' lives.

Our mission is beyond merely housing our residents and providing care; we strive to enhance their lives every day. We provide senior assisted living, including those with Alzheimer's and other dementias. We offer a licensed 38 room ranch-style home for senior long-term and respite care. We believe that physical and mental stimulation in a dynamic community is essential to senior wellness. We encourage our residents to introduce themselves and schedule a visit to Solano Life House.

Music Therapy for Dementia

We offer music therapy for dementia patients to improve their cognitive function, reduce anxiety, and enhance their quality of life. Music therapy is an evidence-based clinical use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.

Transparent Costs

We are the only senior care home in Northern California that offers a unique, Flat Fee for Life program. We do not charge by the severity of care levels as a resident's health declines, charge service fees for every action taken, or impose rent increases over time. Everyone pays a flat, fixed price of $3,950 for Assisted Living ($4,950 Courtyard Room), $4,950 for Memory Care with our Flat Fee for Life, for as long as you choose to remain at Solano Life House.
