About Marcia

Meet Marcia, our founder and lead instructor, who has been passionate about the fine arts her entire life. She started dance lessons at the tender age of three and piano lessons shortly afterward. As a teenager, she added guitar and voice lessons to her after-school activities, expanding her study of the arts throughout college. Marcia earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and has since dedicated her life to sharing her love for music with others.

With a background as a licensed Early Childhood Educator with Kindermusik International, Austin, and a Level 8 Piano Performance Certification from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London, Marcia is well-equipped to assist students in forming a lifelong relationship with music. She believes in the power of patience, kindness, and adaptability, honoring the unique goals of each student and tailoring her teaching approach to meet individual learning styles.

Services Offered

At Musical Starts Studio, we offer a variety of music lessons and programs designed to cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our private or online lessons focus on the fundamentals of music, including note reading, sight reading, technique, and theory. We also offer classes centered around vocal coaching and learning a piece of music of the student's choice, with special emphasis on vocal warm-ups and proper vocal technique.

Our students have the opportunity to explore various genres of music, such as alternative, blues, country, classical, new age, pop, and rock. We believe that music should be a magical experience, and we strive to make learning music an enjoyable and rewarding journey for each of our students.
