Our Story and Mission

Welcome to Tin Roof Garden! We are a local family-run greenhouse and garden store situated just south of Eau Claire in a charming European-style barn built in 1908. Our family's love of nature helped shape our mission to provide the local community with healthy plants and the knowledge to grow them sustainably. We are strong advocates for pollinators and believe in using earth-friendly growing practices. We do not use pesticides and herbicides on the plants we offer, and we support using plants native to the Midwest. Native plants are hardy to the local climate, provide food and habitat for animals and beneficial insects, and contribute to healthy soil and water.

Our goal is to provide healthy, happy plants at a fair price and to educate our customers on their purchase through friendly and knowledgeable staff. We source our plants from suppliers who share our commitment to earth-friendly practices. Some of our notable suppliers include Rush Creek Growers, Midwest Groundcovers, and Bailey Nurseries. We also have a variety of events and classes throughout the year, including workshops on gardening and plant care.
