Empowering Professional Musicians, Enriching the Community
The Denver Musicians Association, founded in 1890 as the Musical Protective Association of Denver, has been serving professional musicians in the Rocky Mountain region for over a century. Originally chartered by the American Federation of Musicians in 1897, the organization now represents over 650 musicians living and working in parts of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. Our mission is to raise industry standards and position professional musicians at the forefront of the cultural landscape through the combined efforts and resources of our members.
We are proud to have a diverse and talented membership that includes some of the best musicians in the region. However, we believe that there is always room for growth and improvement. As such, we extend an invitation to all professional musicians to join our ranks and lend their voice, ideas, and commitment to enhancing the state of all musicians. In the words of Pete Seeger, "Participation, that's what's gonna change the world!"
