Our History Delivering Passionate Quality Care For over 75 years, Labahn Veterinary Hospital has provided compassionate, quality veterinary care in a friendly environment to the Fort Smith, AR area. Our journey began in 1946 when Dr. Charles Labahn, a 1939 graduate of Kansas State University, opened his practice on a gravel road known as Kelley Highway. Initially, the practice treated both large and small animals, catering to the needs of small farms and dairies in the area. As Fort Smith became more urban, the large animal practice waned, and by the 1960s, Labahn Veterinary Hospital had transitioned to a dog and cat practice. Throughout the years, our commitment to providing quality care has remained unwavering, driven by the strong bond between pets and their owners. As the population grew, so did our patient base, and our facilities expanded to accommodate the increasing demand. Today, we continue to pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, state-of-the-art care to our community.
