Our Team

Lucille's History

Lucille's Roadhouse was originally established in 1927 as a station on Route 66 near Hydro, Oklahoma. In 1941, Lucille and Carl Hamons purchased the station and motor courts, turning it into a family business. For 59 years, Lucille welcomed tired travelers into her home and business, earning her the title of Mother of the Mother Road. Today, we honor her legacy by continuing this western Oklahoma tradition of hospitality.
