Bessemer Glass recognizes the importance of preserving architectural heritage, and we are dedicated to preserving the legacy of historic buildings through the restoration of original steel casement windows and doors. Our expertise extends to both on-site and off-site restoration projects, with a wide inventory of historic factory windows available at our facility. On-site services include meticulous removal of existing glass, glazing material, spot welding, straightening, wire brushing, replacement glass, and glazing material installation. We employ a proprietary extruded silicone profile that replicates the appearance of traditional putty glaze, ensuring an authentic and seamless restoration. For off-site projects, we offer a comprehensive restoration service encompassing straightening, fabrication as needed, and adherence to the original architectural design. All seams are sealed with metal filler to prevent rust formation. We meticulously sandblast the frames to bare metal, apply zinc primer, and finish with a durable powder coat. New hardware is expertly installed, and we ensure that all vent operators are fully functional for continued smooth operation.
