Empowering Creativity, Inspiring Connection

Treehouse Shakers is a pioneering organization that has been revolutionizing the world of dance and theater for over two decades. Founded in 1997, our mission is to create original dance-plays, workshops, and artistic experiences that encourage multi-generational audiences to connect with their community. Over the years, we have established ourselves as a leading company in the industry, with a repertoire of over 20 original works that explore universal themes and narrative styles.

Our legacy began with our debut production, "Hatched, " a dance-play specifically designed for babies, which premiered in 2012. Since then, we have continued to push the boundaries of our work, striving to continually raise the artistic bar and challenge the thinking of our young audiences. Our performances have been praised for being educational, entertaining, and engaging, making them an invaluable experience for children and families.

Our Productions

At Treehouse Shakers, we are passionate about creating productions that are not only entertaining but also educational. Our productions are designed to engage audiences of all ages, from babies to teenagers, in a way that is both fun and enriching. We believe that the performing arts have the power to inspire, educate, and bring people together.

Our current productions include "Sail Away" for ages 18-24 months, "The Littlest Cove" for ages 3-6, "The Deepest Breath" for ages 9-13, "Flutter: A Discovery Play for Babies" for ages 6-18 months, and "The Boy Who Grew Flowers" for ages 4-10.

Education and Outreach

In addition to our productions, we are committed to providing education and outreach programs that cater to the needs of our community. Our workshops and residencies focus on the arts, including storytelling, dance, music, theater, and writing, and are designed to benefit underserved youth and families.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of live performance, regardless of their background or financial situation. To achieve this goal, we partner with local schools, community organizations, and non-profits to provide free and low-cost tickets and programming to thousands of underserved youth and families.
