Becky's Greenhouse

Becky's Greenhouse has been a staple in Dougherty, Iowa, for over 37 years. Our journey began in 1984 when Larry and I decided to reopen Larry's Garage, which has been in operation since 1975. We started small, but our commitment to each other and our community has grown into a thriving business. As a Master Gardener since 2000, I've had the privilege of sharing my passion for gardening with the community through various mediums, including a weekly radio show on KLMJ 104.9, "Gardening and You, " and a daily blog. Our goal is to provide personal service to help with your gardening needs, whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out. How We Began

In the early days, Larry focused on his garage business, while I started small with plants. We soon discovered that diversifying our business was key to success. In 1985, we expanded into groceries, offering essentials from our store, Becky's Mall. The summer of 1984 was memorable, as our kids helped us clean out trailer houses to create our new store. Over the years, we've continued to adapt and grow, always keeping our community at the forefront.
