Redwood Coast Acupuncture Center is a leading provider of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine services in Humboldt County. Our Services

At Redwood Coast Acupuncture Center, we offer a range of services designed to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit. Our primary service is Acupuncture Therapy, which involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi ("chi") and restore balance. We use a variety of acupuncture techniques, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five-Element Acupuncture, to provide personalized care for each of our clients.

We also offer Chinese Medicinal Herbs as a complementary therapy to acupuncture. Our herbalist will work with you to create a custom herbal formula based on your specific health needs. Our herbs are carefully sourced and of the highest quality to ensure safety and efficacy.

In addition to acupuncture and herbal medicine, we offer Moxibustion and Cupping therapies. Moxibustion involves the burning of mugwort, a Chinese herb, to warm and move Qi in the body. It is especially effective for cold or damp conditions, such as arthritis and digestive issues. Cupping involves the placement of small glass cups on the skin to create suction, which helps to increase blood flow, release tight muscles, and promote healing.

Our Practice

Redwood Coast Acupuncture Center is owned and operated by Ryan M. Vodden, a Board Certified and Licensed Acupuncturist with over two decades of experience. Ryan is a veteran of the US Army and a certified karate instructor, holding a 5th-degree black belt. He has been interviewed by several media outlets, including the Eureka Times-Standard, and is recognized as an expert in the field of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

At Redwood Coast Acupuncture Center, we believe that healthcare is a collaboration between the practitioner and the client. We take the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, and goals to create a personalized treatment plan. We are committed to providing the highest quality care and work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure that you receive the best possible care.
