Our story began in 1976 when Nizar and Mariyam Damji purchased a modest 3-story, 135-room Ramada Inn in Seattle's bustling Northgate neighborhood. This ignited a passion that would span decades, transforming a single hotel into a thriving hospitality group. Over the years, the Damji family expanded their portfolio, adding iconic towers, new brands, and innovative amenities. In 1996, the company officially became known as Northgate Hotels Ltd., marking a significant milestone in its history.

Through strategic acquisitions and renovations, we continued to build on our success, establishing a reputation for quality and excellence. In 2006, Hotel Nexus was born from the reinvention of the original Ramada Inn, showcasing our commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering a unique guest experience.
