Our History

Hilltop Gardens & Greenhouses (HTG) began in 1998 as a small, family-owned endeavor. What started as a single greenhouse meant for personal enjoyment quickly evolved into something much larger. The community showed a genuine interest in our plants, which inspired us to expand our operation. Over the years, we have grown to encompass fourteen greenhouses, boasting over 34,000 square feet of cultivated space. Today, we stand as Southern Iowa's premier destination for all your gardening needs, proudly supplying numerous other garden centers and greenhouses with our exceptional plants.

Our Famous Mums

Hilltop Gardens & Greenhouses is renowned for its spectacular mums. Starting each June, we lovingly cultivate thousands of high-quality mums in a multitude of colors and blooming periods, ensuring breathtaking displays in September and October.
