Our Story

Edward Schaneberger, a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of successful ventures, was inspired by his partner Deb's hobby of winemaking. Recognizing the lack of accessibility to quality wines in the local area, Ed embarked on a journey to establish Brokenstraw Valley Winery. Initially starting in a renovated gas station, the winery quickly outgrew its humble beginnings, prompting a move to the historic Buckaloons Ski Lodge in 2018.

Led by our talented Winemaker Deb Snow, our team of passionate individuals meticulously craft each bottle of Brokenstraw Valley Wine. We combine traditional winemaking practices with innovative techniques to produce a diverse range of dry and semi-sweet wines in various styles.
