Busy Bee's Childcare & Preschool

Located in Antioch, California, we have been caring for and educating children since 2009. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children can grow and thrive. We are excited to share our passion for young children's care and education with you.

Our Philosophy and Core Values

At Busy Bee's, we believe that early childhood is a time for exploration and discovery. We provide a culturally diverse atmosphere where children can grow physically, socially, emotionally, creatively, and intellectually, while preparing them for kindergarten. Our programs are designed to encourage children to ask questions, explore their own ideas, and become independent learners. We believe in the importance of a partnership between parents and caregivers in the education and care of young children.

Our Services

At Busy Bee's, we offer a range of services to meet the needs of your child. Our programs include:

• Purposeful Play: We believe that play is one of the most important ways for children to learn and develop new skills. Our play-based curriculum is designed to promote problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Art: We provide opportunities for children to express themselves creatively through art, music, and movement.
• Music and Movement: We offer regular sessions of music and movement to help children develop their gross motor skills and coordination.
• Large and Fine Motor Development: Our activities are designed to help children develop their large and fine motor skills.
• Life Skills: We teach children important life skills such as conflict resolution, sharing, and cooperation.
• Confidence Building: We encourage children to take risks and build their confidence through positive reinforcement.

Our Safety Practices

We take the health and safety of our children and families very seriously. We have implemented the following protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment:

• Enhanced Health Practices: We have increased our sanitizing and hygiene practices to prevent the spread of illnesses.
• Protective Masks: All staff members wear masks when working with children.
• Taking Temperatures: We take the temperatures of all children and staff members upon arrival and throughout the day.
• Wellness Checks: We conduct regular wellness checks to monitor the health of our children and respond appropriately to any signs of illness.
• Limited Facility Access: We limit the access to our facility to prevent the spread of germs.
• Pre-Plated Dining: We provide pre-plated meals to reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses.

Program Curriculum

Our program curriculum is designed to meet the needs of children aged 0-12. We offer a range of activities and games to help children develop their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. Our curriculum includes:

• Language and Literacy: We encourage children to develop their language and literacy skills through stories, songs, and games.
• Math and Problem-Solving: We provide opportunities for children to develop their math and problem-solving skills through games and activities.
• Science and Discovery: We encourage children to explore their curiosity and learn about the world around them through science experiments and projects.

Our Facilities

Our facilities are designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children. Our home is a one-level single-family home with a backyard filled with play structures suitable for toddlers and children up to the age of 12. We are conveniently located less than five minutes from the Hwy 4 on-ramps going toward Oakland, Sacramento, and the Antioch Bridge.
