Pins and Needles Alterations, a renowned name in the world of tailoring and alterations, has been serving the community since 2007. The owner, Christina Alpuche, brings over 25 years of experience in all areas of alterations and tailoring. Christina's journey in the industry began when she worked with the prestigious L. H. Rogers of Salem, Massachusetts, for six years. However, when L. H. Rogers relocated to Newbury Street in Boston, Christina decided to stay closer to home and joined Lorraine Roy on Maple Street in downtown Danvers.

Christina's exceptional skills and dedication soon made her an indispensable part of Lorraine Roy's team, where she worked as both the in-house seamstress and in sales for 18 years. In 2014, Christina took the leap of faith and opened her own shop, Pins and Needles, in the same building where Lorraine Roy was once located. In December of the same year, the shop moved to its current location at 5 Elm Street in downtown Danvers.

At Pins and Needles Alterations, we specialize in all alterations and tailoring for women, men, and children, including casual wear, formal wear, bridal, beading and crystal work, dance and entertainment costumes, pageant and prom, leather/sweater/knit repairs, and custom piece design. We take pride in our ability to work on all military uniforms, as well as local and state police, fire, and rescue uniforms.

Our team of skilled professionals, led by Christina, has extensive experience in designing custom pieces such as bridal gowns, formal wear, women's and children's clothing, and Christening outfits. We have had the privilege of working with contestants competing in many of our local and national pageants, including Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss/Mrs United States Systems.
