Our Story

Mudd N Flood Mountain Shop has been outfitting adventurers in Taos since 1991. We're much more than just a store; we're a community hub for outdoor enthusiasts, sharing our passion for exploration and providing expert guidance to help you make the most of your time in the Taos wilderness. Our journey began in 1995 when we, Chris and Elana, fell head over heels for the magic of Taos. Leaving behind our roles as high school science teachers, we embraced the call of the mountains and made Taos our home. The dream of owning our own outdoor store blossomed, and in 2001, we proudly took the reins of Mudd N Flood.
