The Wausau Area Builders Association (WABA), established in 1967 and affiliated with the Wisconsin Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, is a professional non-profit trade association dedicated to serving the community. Our members represent various professions in the building industry or wish to do business with these companies. This diverse group includes builders, developers, suppliers, utilities, architects, lenders, electricians, insurance agencies, landscapers, and kitchen cabinet providers.

Our mission is to provide quality, affordable housing through community and government involvement while promoting high standards of professionalism. We are committed to representing the interests and concerns of the customer, building trades, industry suppliers, and all facets of the building industry.

Community Support

The Wausau Area Builders Association is dedicated to building the community as strongly as it builds houses. Our association donates time and financial resources to community projects and supports local classrooms through initiatives like the Building Youth into Builders Grant Program. We are committed to helping the next generation of industry professionals by collaborating with area schools and distributing annual scholarships.

Additionally, the Wausau Area Builders Association hosts an annual Home Show and two annual Parade of Homes events. These events showcase the latest trends and innovations in the building industry and provide opportunities for networking and professional development.
