Your Southern Retreat at Merry Acres Inn & Event Center
Since 1952, Merry Acres Inn & Event Center has been a cornerstone of Albany's hospitality landscape, blending historic charm with modern comforts. Our roots trace back to 1935 when Dr. Russell L. Grace Sr. transformed a 500-acre estate into a peaceful refuge, a vision continued by his daughter Jean and son-in-law G.G. Spec Dozier who opened Albany's first motel. Today, we operate as a boutique-style inn offering 110 thoughtfully appointed rooms, each featuring luxurious amenities and contemporary conveniences. Our dedicated event staff manages over 6,000 square feet of versatile space for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions, complemented by exceptional catering services. The Pub at Merry Acres Inn & Event Center provides an elevated bar experience with Southern-inspired cuisine and craft beverages daily from 4 PM to 10 PM. With complimentary shuttle service, a serene outdoor pool, and seamless integration of lodging and event planning, we maintain our legacy as Albany's favorite hotel through unwavering attention to detail and heartfelt service.
