The Harkness Hotel was founded in 2014 through a transformative renovation of the historic 1906 McCammon State Bank building in McCammon, Idaho. Our family-owned business was established by Aaron and Arianne, who relocated from Washington D.C. with no prior hospitality experience but a vision to create a luxury boutique hotel that blends historic preservation with modern comfort. The building's original featuresincluding vaulted ceilings, skylights, and reclaimed woodwere meticulously restored alongside contemporary amenities like crystal chandeliers, quartz countertops, and imported tilework. In 2017, we expanded with a Salon & Spa, and in 2018, we received the Boutique Hotel Awards' Most Inspired Design of the Americas recognition.Our approach combines hands-on renovation expertise, community collaboration, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. We maintain daily communication with guests via text for personalized service and operate with transparency about our policies, including check-in procedures and allergy-friendly accommodations. Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. Guests receive text instructions the day of arrival for a smooth check-in process.
