A Legacy of Experience

Throughout its history, Wiley Brooks Company, Inc. has been entrusted with managing significant real estate assets. Notably, from 1986 to 1990, the firm played a crucial role in managing a substantial number of Real Estate Owned (REO) properties for the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation (FSLIC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The portfolio encompassed over 150 REO properties representing approximately 450 living units and 50 commercial rental units, with an estimated value exceeding $60 million. In September 1990, the company's expertise was further recognized when it was awarded a contract by the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) to provide asset management and disposition services for a portfolio of 29 troubled REO properties. Our team successfully navigated the complexities of these assets, which often presented environmental, legal, zoning, and/or title problems, disposing of 28 out of 29 properties within the four-year contract period.
