Custom Handcrafted Furniture by Luis Guerra
I am a master woodworker whose passion for transforming natural materials into functional art has defined my career for over two decades. Born and educated in Madrid, Spain, I honed my craft through formal training at Cerritos College and UCLA, where I developed expertise in furniture design and exotic woodwork. My career began at Gulfstream Aerospace, where I collaborated with engineers and artisans to refine structural techniques and material selection. Since 1997, I have focused on creating bespoke furniture and restoring historic Art & Crafts homes, earning recognition such as first prize at the 1999 Association of Woodworking & Furniture competition for my Carmen stool.Every project begins with listening to clients' needs, selecting premium materials like Claro Walnut and Macassar Ebony, and applying meticulous handcraftsmanship to achieve unique, enduring pieces. My work reflects a deep respect for wood's natural beauty, combining technical precision with artistic vision to deliver custom solutions for private clients and collectors worldwide.
