A Labor of Love

At Tobacco Barn Farm, our passion is to provide a space where couples and families can celebrate their most significant life moments. We believe that your wedding or special event should be as relaxing and stress-free as possible. That's why we strive to offer a space that is as special and memorable as your big day.

Our journey began in April 2017, when renovations started on our family's century-old tobacco barn. We built a new foundation, replaced some missing bracing, and transformed the existing lean-to into a finished space to house the bridal suite, bathrooms, and caterer's prep kitchen. We then added a covered porch on the east side, providing additional space overlooking a quiet pond and acres of pasture. Our labor of love has not only saved an essential piece of regional history but also provided a special place for families to come together and celebrate.

Our first wedding was held in September 2017, and we are excited to share many more special moments with new friends. We're proud to have been featured in publications such as EA Bride magazine, HerLife magazine's Trendsetter feature, and The Knot's 15 Best Farm Wedding Venues in the U.S.

Our Venue

Our renovated 100-year-old tobacco barn is the ideal backdrop for your wedding or other special event. Each celebration is unique, and we offer various options to customize your event. You can enjoy a shaded outdoor garden wedding by the pond or cozy up with a rustic indoor barn wedding. Make your reception elegant with draping and lights or leave it rustic and simple with only the tobacco sticks and chandeliers overhead.

Our venue is located in Holt, Missouri, just 30 minutes north of Kansas City and south of St. Joe. It features a quiet pond, acres of pasture, and a renovated tobacco barn, providing a beautiful and serene setting for your event. Our bridal suite, bathrooms, and caterer's prep kitchen are all housed in a finished space, ensuring that all your needs are met on your special day.
