Berwyn Mental Health

At the Berwyn Township 708 Community Mental Health Board, our mission is to promote a community-based system of quality services relating to mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse. We believe that every individual deserves access to comprehensive and equitable services that cater to their unique needs. As a behavioral health authority in Illinois, we are committed to planning, developing, reviewing, and evaluating community mental health services and facilities.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide a network of services that address the mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse needs of the residents of Berwyn Township. We aim to create a system that is comprehensive, inclusive, and accessible to all. Our ultimate goal is to improve the overall well-being and quality of life of our community members.

Our Responsibilities

As a Community Mental Health Board, we take our responsibilities seriously. We hold regular meetings, at least quarterly, to discuss and address the mental health needs of our community. We also plan, develop, review, and evaluate community mental health services and facilities, including services and facilities for the treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction, developmental disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, we consult with other private and public agencies to develop local plans for the most efficient delivery of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services.
