At Witt Building Material Company, Inc., we've been serving the East Tennessee building industry since 1914. Our story began with J.P. Witt's vision to provide high-quality millwork type products and a planning mill operation. Over the years, we've expanded our services to include a wide range of building materials, engineered wood products, and more. Today, we're proud to be a 3rd generation, family-owned business, committed to delivering exceptional products and customer service to our clients.

Our History

Our journey began with a humble start, but our commitment to excellence and innovation has driven our growth and success. We pioneered the production and use of floor trusses in Tennessee and have continued to expand our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our president, W.R. Witt, is a 3rd generation owner-operator who has overseen the growth and expansion of our two locations, ensuring that we're always better equipped to serve our clients.

Our Locations

We operate two convenient locations in Knoxville, TN, to serve our clients better. Our 235 Dale Avenue location is equipped with a millwork shop and lumber yard, while our 1242 E. Weisgarber Road location features a 10-acre site with a Truss Shop and yard, capable of handling large quantities of lumber.
