Questions
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
Common causes include dirty filters, low refrigerant, or thermostat issues. Check basics like the circuit breaker or filter first. If unresolved, contact a licensed HVAC technician.
What is the most common AC repair?
Refrigerant leaks, capacitor failures, and thermostat malfunctions are frequent. Regular tune-ups prevent many issues. Mission AC offers diagnostics and repairs for all cooling system problems.
How long do AC units last in Houston?
With proper maintenance, AC units last 10–15 years. Houston's climate stresses systems, so annual tune-ups and filter changes extend longevity and efficiency.
Are mini-splits recommended in Houston?
Mini-splits suit Houston homes without ductwork, offering efficient cooling for additions or garages. They provide zoned temperature control and lower energy consumption compared to central AC.
What is the AC installation process?
The process includes unit selection, removing old systems, installing components, connecting lines, and testing. Mission AC guides customers through each step for seamless installations.
