At Sandy's Sandbox Child Care and Learning Center, we are dedicated to providing a safe, affordable, and high-quality early childhood learning experience for children in Macon and Bonaire, Georgia. Our three locations offer a variety of services and programs designed to meet the unique needs of children from six weeks to ten years old.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum taught by a well-trained staff, giving parents peace of mind while their children are in our care. We believe that each child is unique and deserves an environment that fosters their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. Our commitment to excellence ensures that your child will receive the best possible care and education.

Our Locations

We have three convenient locations to serve you: two in Macon and one in Bonaire, Georgia. The Bonaire Center is located in South Houston County, the East Bibb Macon Center is adjacent to Geico and YKK, and our newest center is in East Macon on Shurling Drive. All centers are open from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm daily, Monday-Friday, and are closed for only six major holidays each year.

Programs and Services

The Bonaire Center and the East Bibb Center serve children from six weeks to ten years and house a Georgia Lottery-Funded Pre-K Program, which is free to all Georgia residents. Both centers have before- and after-school programs that transport children to and from area schools. The after-school program provides homework tutelage, cooking and craft activities, onsite field trips, and opportunities for physical development of school-age children.

Our Shurling Center serves children from six weeks to five years and has a Private Pre-K Program for four-year-old children. We are the first privately owned daycare in central Georgia to achieve the Quality Rated Designation. All teachers hold a credential in Early Childhood Education, and several have gone further in school and received advanced degrees.

Curriculum

Our centers use the Pinnacle Curriculum, which is one of the recommended curriculums from Bright from the Start, the Department of Early Care and Learning, along with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). This curriculum is designed to meet the unique needs of young children and promote their overall development.

Learning Environment

Our rooms are created around age-appropriate learning centers including dramatic play, blocks, art, music, and science. This allows children to explore and learn at their own pace while having fun. We believe that a well-rounded education is essential for a child's future success, and we strive to provide a learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
