Wisteria has been a staple in the Alexandria, Virginia community for over 25 years. Established in 1993, Wisteria opened its doors as a full-service floral design shop in historic Old Town. With a focus on individualized customer service and the artistry of floral design, Wisteria moved to its current location in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria in 2002. The new location, affectionately named "The Studio, " allows owner Stephanie Meuse Melvin to better focus on the unique needs of each client and take advantage of her expansive gardens during the growing season.
Stephanie is a local artist with a well-established reputation for excellence in floral, interior, and landscape design. She has an innate ability to bring out the best in the materials she works with, whether they are home-grown or from around the world. Stephanie takes pride in creating custom arrangements for each client, ensuring that no two Wisteria creations are alike.
Weddings
Wisteria has been designing flowers for weddings for over 25 years and has built a reputation for unsurpassed beauty, service, and quality. Each bride and groom, and each wedding, has its own special charm and personality, and Wisteria treats each wedding as a unique work of art. With a focus on individualized attention, Wisteria ensures that each wedding is designed from scratch, with the client's ideas and vision at the forefront of the design process.
Wedding services offered by Wisteria include hand-tied bridal bouquets, hand-tied attendant bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony arrangements, and centerpieces. Wisteria also offers consultations, both in-person and via telephone, to help clients finalize details and logistics for their big day. With a focus on intimate and moderate-size weddings, Wisteria is happy to offer exceptions to their budgetary minimum for local weddings.

The Studio
Wisteria's studio location, "The Studio, " is located in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria, Virginia. With cobblestone driveways and big black doors, The Studio is a charming and intimate workspace for Stephanie and her team. While The Studio is not a retail location, appointments can be made by calling in advance. This ensures that Stephanie and her team can provide the undivided attention that Wisteria's clients have come to expect.
