Lotus Designs Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company founded by Gail Scott in 1987. With over three decades of experience, we have built a reputation for designing and creating elegant, creative, and affordable landscapes for both residential and commercial clients in Southern Pines, NC, and the surrounding areas, including Pinehurst, Sanford, Raleigh, Charleston, and Houston. Gail, who grew up in Akron, Ohio, and moved to the Sandhills in 1978, is a passionate landscaper who lives on a small horse farm just outside of Southern Pines. She is married and has two grown daughters.

Our team of experienced landscapers specializes in landscape design, installation, and maintenance. We work closely with our clients to ensure their vision becomes a reality, and their expectations are met. Our process begins with a thorough consultation to discuss the client's goals, style, functional use, and plant material preferences. Once we agree on the scope of the project, we provide a firm quote and timeline. After the Landscape Plan is completed, we review the overall layout and materials to ensure they align with the client's vision.

How We Work

Our design and build process is broken down into various areas, including planting, irrigation, patios, fire pits, arbors, and more. Once the Landscape Plan is complete, we provide a firm estimate. Our estimates are fixed unless additional work is requested. After accepting the bid, we put the work on a schedule and work closely with our installation team and clients to ensure the highest quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

On-site consultations can also be made in lieu of a plan if desired. Our service offering includes Landscape Master Plans, Complete Planting Plans and Garden Designs, Arbors and Fencing Layout, Swimming Pool Designs, Pool, Cabana, Bathhouse or other Pool Related Structures, Outdoor Kitchens, Patios, and Decks, Walkway, Driveway and Retaining Wall Layout and Details, Water Garden Designs, Terraces and Screened-in Porches, Herb Gardens, 3D Rendering, Complete Vegetable Garden Layouts, Maintenance Schedules, Photo Illustration Renderings, and Plans Exportable to most CADD formats.
