Petres, Inc. is a renowned company specializing in custom interior renovations and historical restoration, particularly in Richmond's oldest neighborhoods. The company's founder, Randy Petres, has a profound understanding of the needs and vision for each project, ensuring exceptional outcomes.

Randy Petres studied Architectural drafting in a vocational program in high school and attended VCU in the School of the Arts. After working in the restaurant industry, he decided to enter the home repair industry in 1996. Over the years, Randy has worked with numerous people, learning to communicate effectively with almost anyone. He believes in educating clients about building techniques, allowing them to appreciate the costs and have better knowledge of their homes.

Randy has been involved in many local charities and organizations, including attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and volunteering countless hours at the scout camp, T. Brady Saunders, in Goochland County. He has a vocational degree in Architectural drafting and had a home renovation featured in Beautiful Home Remodeling magazine in April 2006. Randy is a licensed Class B contractor, and Petres Inc. is listed with the Better Business Bureau and is a Lead Paint Safe Certified contractor.

Our Process

Every job starts with an initial visit, where we thoroughly understand the client's needs and vision for the project. Small projects can be quoted in one or two visits, while larger ones may take several visits depending on the design work needed. We welcome clients with their own designers and architects.

For contract work, we guarantee the amount of time needed to complete the work. Occasionally, change orders occur on contract work and are billed as time and materials. Many jobs can be done with no sub-contractors, ensuring that only our carpenter and Randy are present on the job site. When sub-contractors are involved, Randy is always on site, providing security for the homeowner and problem-solving.
