James and Alisha Pate founded our family-owned business after leaving corporate engineering careers in pursuit of a more hands-on life centered on making. Today, our boutique workshop produces handcrafted boot jacks, leather goods, lodge pieces, corporate gifts, and custom recognition. Each item is intended to be useful, substantial, and made to last. We believe in choosing what is worth making and giving every piece the highest level of care rather than producing more simply to increase volume.
The character of our Texas ranch is reflected throughout our work, from natural materials and rich leather to beautiful wood and Western heritage. Wood from our own property is incorporated whenever possible, while much of our production takes place from scratch in our Texas shop. Our engineering backgrounds influence our attention to fit, function, repeatability, materials, precision, and the details that matter. Modern technology supports, rather than replaces, our traditional woodworking and leathercraft. We proudly create officially licensed university products, including those for Texas A&M University, and value our relationship with Folds of Honor.
