Dan grew up around grease, grit, and good work ethic, literally. From riding along in a tow truck with his dad, a factory GM technician, to turning wrenches in his own garage, cars have always been part of his story.
After moving to Boise in 2004, Dan worked full-time as a mechanic while building side work into what became Sager and Sons Auto, a shop built on integrity, precision, and community. Today he leads the team specializing in advanced diagnostics, drivability, and complex repairs.

Co-Owner & Operations Director
Katie is the structure and spirit behind the shop. With a degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University and a background in art and psychology, she brings a rare blend of organization, creativity, and human understanding to every part of the operation.
She runs service advising, operations, marketing, and team development, the reason the shop runs like a well-oiled machine and the voice behind the customer communications that make the Sager experience so smooth.

Great service and very thorough. Customer service is above and beyond. At Sager & Sons you dont just get fast dependable service you get a friend. They have done work on my 2006 6.0 powerstroke and never have I had to have the work redone. Its spot on everytime. Dan is an expert on diesels, gas, foreign or domestic

Our shop has a fleet of over 50 trucks and vans, mostly Ford with some Chevys and Dodges. Dan and his crew have been keeping our fleet up and running with everything from oil changes to full service, brakes, suspension, tires and alignments. They are very thorough in their inspections and very timely with all communication. Honest, professional, fast, and very reasonable.
Having Sager and Sons right down the street has been a real asset for our company.

Worked dispatch for a delivery company with fleet trucks. Dan Sager was absolutely amazing, fair, effective and quick whenever I needed assistance with a truck. I 100% Reccomend going to him and his company if you have any mechanical needs. You will be taken care of and satisfied with the services. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Dan is incredible at what he does for the customer. He always makes sure I know my options, what the costs may be, and the level of importance in what needs to be or should be done and why. I never have to worry about feeling taken advantage of just because I dont know anything about vehicles. He and his boys back up their work, which is great work, so I never have to worry.

Dan and his team are amazing! Unsurpassed customer service - and they care. They will not up-sell/overcharge you, and are extremely honest and caring. They maintain a strong ethical code to do right by all every time. They have taken care of me so well, and have saved me so much money when others have tried to take advantage and price gouge me, including misinforming me to charge more. I plan to never take my vehicles anywhere else. And their work is perfect - they go above and beyond what's required if needed also. Breath of badly needed fresh air. Thank you so much, Sager & Sons.
