Your Guide to Capturing Maternity
We provide a comprehensive guide for mothers-in-the-making, designed to help you capture maternity and make memories that last. Our guide includes expert poses for pregnancy, a checklist for the best outfits, questions to connect, and more. We are dedicated to providing you with the resources you need to make the most of this special time.
When is the best time to photograph my baby?
We prefer to photograph newborns the first 2 weeks of their lives, ideally 7-14 days, but have had older babies come in as well. It is best to book your session well in advance so please give us a call as soon as you know your baby's due date.
How much does it cost?
The session fee is $150, which secures your booking and is deducted from the package you choose to buy after your session. The session fee is non-refundable.
Do I need to bring any props, outfits, or accessories to my baby's session?
None at all! We have a range of outfits, wraps, props, and accessories for your session. However, if you have something special or of sentimental value that you would want us to include in your photos, please bring them along!
How long is a newborn session?
Newborn sessions typically last 1-3 hours but it all depends on the baby. All babies are different, and we always allow time for feeding, settling, and cuddling. Mini sessions last about an hour.
What time does my session start?
All sessions start by 10am, Monday to Friday.
Is it possible for my partner and my other children to be a part of the session?
Partners and siblings are welcome to join but not for a mini session.
What should I wear for my photos with my baby?
Plain and neutral colors like black, white, creams, beige, and other soft, neutral colors always work best in family photos as they are not distracting and will not take attention away from your faces! Skin on skin images are also amazing and beautiful! These are just tips, but the decision is all yours. The room will be very warm to keep baby comfortable, so it's best to wear something light. Baby may also poo and wee on the way, so please come with a change of clothing in case there are accidents!
When will I see the images taken?
Within 2 weeks after your session, we will invite you back to our studio for a viewing and ordering session. You will be shown 20-30 images, and we'll help you select your favorites.
