Reel Salty Charters, located in Ninilchik, Alaska, is a premier fishing charter company on the Cook Inlet. Our owner and operators, Capt. Brian Baker and Capt. Katie Baker, are both USCG licensed, First Aid Certified, and CPR trained, ensuring the highest level of safety and expertise. We are proud to call Ninilchik our home and enjoy sharing the majestic ocean views, volcanoes, wildlife, and incredible fishing that the Kenai Peninsula has to offer.
Our Services
At Reel Salty Charters, we specialize in halibut and salmon charters, offering a range of packages to suit every angler's needs. Our fishing season runs from May 1 until Labor Day, and we operate 28-foot custom aluminum boats that are tractor launched into the Cook Inlet, ensuring quick and easy access to some of the world's finest fishing spots. Our boats are equipped with the latest fishing gear and technology, ensuring our customers have the best chance of reeling in a trophy catch.
Under the new fishing regulations, we are closed on all Wednesdays and all Tuesdays from June 20th - August 15th. During these closed days, we offer a variety of ecotours, including whale watching and clamming trips, allowing our customers to enjoy the beauty of the Cook Inlet and the surrounding area. We also offer scenic trips to Seldovia for lunch and island tours, as well as adventures to other places in Alaska that can't be accessed by a vehicle.
In addition to our charters and ecotours, we now offer rentals to the public. Our cozy and comfortable rooms can accommodate individuals, couples, and large groups, making us the perfect base for your Alaskan adventure. Our rentals are open year-round, so you can enjoy the beauty of Ninilchik and the Cook Inlet no matter the season.
Getting Here
The breathtaking drive from Anchorage to Ninilchik is a memorable scenic adventure with a plethora of wildlife, scenic views, camping, and unique shops along the way. If you prefer to fly, Homer and Kenai are short flights from Anchorage and will put you less than an hour drive from Ninilchik. Our location and directions can be found here.
