At Ajkun Ballet Theatre, we are dedicated to establishing a world-class ballet company that embodies the philosophy and creative vision of our esteemed Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer, Dr. Chiara Ajkun. Our Company is a New York City-based 501 (c3) Not-for-Profit Corporation that has been proudly serving the community since 2001.
The Company
Internationally renowned for its world-class performances of riveting new choreography, Ajkun Ballet Theatre's Company roster features 35 talented Artists, each renowned for their artistry, athleticism, and elegance. Our roster is designed to reflect the multiculturalism and diversity that we believe is essential for enriching society and fostering human progress. On Tours, our roster may increase to 52 Artists, including 45 Dancers and a Live Orchestra of 65 Musicians.
Educational Programs
At Ajkun Ballet Theatre, we are dedicated to providing educational programs that cater to students of all skill levels. Our Ballet School offers Trainee Programs, Summer Intensives, and various Dance Performance programs for Children & Teens. We also offer Tuition-Free or Subsidized programs, as well as additional financial aid through the AjkunBT Fund, to ensure that dance education is accessible to all.
The Fund
The AjkunBT Fund is a financial aid program designed to support dance students and professionals by providing funding, expertise, and mentorship. Inspired by the philosophy of Dr. Chiara Ajkun, The AjkunBT Fund is enthused on the United States Mutual Education and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 (Fulbright-Hayes), a cornerstone of public diplomacy and an integral component of foreign policy of the United States of America.
