Standing Ovation Music

At Standing Ovation Music Studio, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive music education to students of all ages and skill levels. Our team of experienced instructors offers private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, theory, composition, and songwriting. We believe that learning to play an instrument is crucial for a child's development and strive to nurture the artistry within each pupil.

Our goal is to prepare students for various performances, such as auditions for local show choirs, bands, orchestras, NYSSMA solos, plays, and even professional music careers. We understand that every student has different learning styles and interests, so we focus on building upon their strengths to foster musical skills and knowledge. Additionally, we expose our students to various styles of music through themed recitals, holiday shows, and classical NYSSMA prep recitals.

These performances are not only a great way for students to showcase their talents but also provide an opportunity to develop an appreciation for all styles of music. We proudly present a minimum of six recitals each year, which are professionally filmed and mastered into DVDs. Our adult students also participate in a special presentation performance that is truly inspirational.

Beyond our studio, we encourage community involvement through performances at local events and churches. For instance, our students regularly donate their musical talents at St John The Baptist Catholic Church, playing for children's masses. Over the years, we have seen our students achieve great success, from performing on stage in recitals, school plays, and competitions to even landing professional recording contracts.

At Standing Ovation Music, we aim to teach our students to read music and play their chosen instrument for a lifetime. We believe that music has a powerful and healing effect, bringing joy and happiness to one's life. Music truly brings people together, and we are honored to be a part of this journey with our students.

Calendar of Events

We have a variety of events planned throughout the year, including group rehearsals, solo auditions, full ensemble rehearsals, and small ensemble rehearsals. Our next event is a group rehearsal scheduled for Sunday, September 7th, starting at 11 am with solo auditions, followed by a full rehearsal from 12 pm to 4 pm and a small ensemble rehearsal from 4 pm to 6 pm.
