At Neon Howe Portraits, we believe that every individual has a unique story worth preserving and sharing. Our mission is to capture the raw emotions, the laughter, the tears, and the fleeting moments that define our lives, freezing these evanescent sparks of existence in our portraits.
Our Story
Born from a love of art and the inability to draw, Neon Howe found the camera to be the perfect tool to help express his creativity starting in 2010. Growing up introverted, much of his early photography work was centered around landscapes and inanimate objects, though he really wanted to capture portraits of people. Pushing himself out of his comfort zone, he took part in the 100 strangers portrait project, where each day one goes out and takes a new portrait of a stranger, with their permission. The process of finding a new stranger to photograph was always nerve-racking, but at the same time exciting. Being able to connect one-on-one with people, get to know more about them and capture their portraits, he learned, was what fueled his creative process.
