Seishindo Karate Dojo is a family-owned and operated martial arts academy located in the heart of Chico, California. Our dojo has been a staple in the Chico community for over 20 years, and we take great pride in providing a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all ages and skill levels.
Our Philosophy

Our History
Seishindo Karate Dojo was founded in 1996 by Sensei Taka Noburyu, a renowned karate master with decades of experience. Sensei Taka is the creator of the Seishindo Karate style, which combines the best of Okinawan karate with modern training methods. Over the years, Sensei Shane Dubin has taken over the management of the dojo, carrying on the traditions and principles of Sensei Taka.
Our Classes
At Seishindo Karate Dojo, we offer a range of classes aimed at students of all ages and skill levels. Our programs are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing a comprehensive education in the art of karate. Our classes are structured around the principles of patience, persistence, and respect, and are tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of each individual student.
Kids Program
Our Kids Program is designed for children aged 4-13, and is designed to be a fun and engaging way for kids to learn the art of karate. Our instructors are trained in child development and are dedicated to providing a positive and supportive learning environment for our young students.
