Our History
Reid & Hellyer is in some respects a throwback to a by-gone era. We consider our firm to be a second family, as most of the attorneys have worked only at Reid & Hellyer. Under the firm's leadership, Reid & Hellyer has continued to enjoy a reputation as one of the most respected law firm names in Southern California. Our origins date back to 1897 with the founding of the San Bernardino firm of Surr and Hellyer. In 1985, a merger of Surr and Hellyer and the Riverside firm of Reid, Babbage and Coil, formed in 1964, combined two of the preeminent firms in Southern California.
