Plan for peace of mind, in all your endeavors.
The WestStar Physical Therapy Network was created in 1980 with a mission to combine the time-honored tradition of patient-focused care with modern, proven methods. Our founding physical therapists set out to build a reputation for attentive, hands-on patient care and successful, established approaches to therapy. Over time, it became clear that our original clinics were not adequate to provide the California basin with the convenient, high-quality care its residents deserve. One by one, WestStar established new locations for our patients in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, and San Bernardino Counties. Today, we serve California with over 100 therapy centers, managed from our headquarters in Cypress, California.
Our Mission
The WestStar Mission is to help every person we treat get well. We want you to reach or surpass the ability and activity level you had before your injury. As an extension of the physicians and surgeons that serve California, we work to provide the same standard of care and attention that our partners provide their patients every day.
Our Services
Recovering from an injury, surgery, or chronic illness can be a stressful, uncertain time. That's why the physical therapists at WestStar don't just treat your condition - we're here to treat you. Every visitor to our therapy centers is a person, not a project. We're here for emotional support, in addition to the restorative treatments for your physical condition. We have a smile for every visitor, and our therapy patients will receive encouragement and positive reinforcement during the process. Our services are designed to get you back to work, back to your active lifestyle, back to the ability level you had before your injury - and beyond.
Treatments
WestStar's treatments include land therapy, aquatic therapy, and acupuncture. Land therapy is a traditional, "land-based" therapy that restores fitness, wellness, and quality of life. Our techniques will improve your strength, flexibility, range of motion, and physical health. Aquatic therapy, also called pool or water therapy, is for patients starting the physical rehabilitation process who aren't ready for traditional land-based therapy. The water's buoyancy supports the body, eases impact on joints, provides resistance to movement, and reduces pain in a relaxing environment. Acupuncture, the application of thin needles through a patient's skin, is a pain relieving treatment that promotes healing and relaxation.
