At Eastward, we're a video and post-production company with a global reach, based in Washington D.C. Founded in 2011, our collective of creatives comes from a wide range of experiences and disciplines, all under one roof. Driven by curiosity and a passion for what we do, we love working with a variety of advertising and marketing agencies, brands, and non-profits across the US to create content with identity, direction, and purpose.
Our Origin
Eastward was created as an independent studio crafting premium content for agencies and brands. Launched in response to what we viewed as a fragmented filmmaking approach that lacked a unified creative process, we brought together all disciplines under one roof - Creative, Production, and Post Production. Since conception, our HQ operating out of Washington D.C. has grown four time zones and added offices in Los Angeles, Miami, and Knoxville.
What We Do
We're an end-to-end production company, offering a range of services from concept to delivery. Our creative process includes discovery and concept development, story direction, scripting, style frames, and storyboarding. We also provide high-end production services, including line producing, location scouting, permits, talent casting, production coordination, production design, crewing, payroll, insurance, and vendor securement.
In addition to production, we also offer motion graphics and VFX services, including animation, design, illustration, green screen compositing, 3D animation, and compositing. Our post-production services include online/offline editing, remote client editing streams, sound design and mix, finishing, color grading, and high-speed remote server transfers.
Our Team
Our team is our greatest strength. We're a collective of artists and designers, computer geeks, and film nerds, all with one goal: making work as good as the people we're making it for. Our core team includes experienced professionals in creative direction, production, and post-production, and we also have an extensive roster of directors, animators, 3D artists, producers, and cinematographers that we've shortlisted over the years to match to specific projects.
