How Long Does it Last?
Permanent makeup does not wash away or smear, although it will soften over the years. The skin naturally exfoliates, which causes gradual fading. UV rays will cause permanent makeup to fade, so it's essential to wear sunblock when outdoors. Retin A and Glycolic Acid products will also fade permanent makeup, so it's essential to avoid applying these products to the treated area. Blonde or extra light brown colors may fade sooner than darker colors. It's typical to "freshen" color every two to three years.
